My DA husband has gotten to this point. It took him a while, because there was definitely the freeze followed by the change of subject or silence or even getting up and walking away first. But now he will definitely sit with me, hold me, talk to me. Honestly seeing this video helps. I'm a FA and, well, it helps.

my avoidant boyfriend swore he'd heal for me. i was and still am skeptical. but he's in therapy and such and now everytime i break down or am sad, or just go quiet. he instantly hugs me, asks me to please talk to him. and when we're out in public he will drive me home and make sure i get home safely. i love him so much.
