Craig Kerzmann, 49, and Sarah Kerzmann, 45, were arrested Saturday after police responded to a domestic violence call at their Minot home. During the investigation, officers reportedly learned that the couple’s infant had passed away in another state about three years earlier. According to police, the de*th had never been reported to law enforcement. Investigators were then told that the infant’s remains had allegedly been placed inside a tote bag and mixed with concrete. Officers searched the residence and reportedly found a tote “consistent with the description provided.” The item was sent to a laboratory for forensic evaluation. Authorities are working with officials in Texas as the investigation continues. Police have not disclosed where the infant originally passed away or who provided the information that led them to the remains. Both parents face felony charges of failing to report the corpse of a child and disturbing a human burial site. Craig also faces an additional felony domestic-violence charge involving serious bodily injury. Court records did not indicate whether either parent had entered a plea.
