His posturing, shaking his head, pretending I was cutting him off when I wasn't, was an obvious act and I think everyone in the courtroom saw it for that. To be blunt, I think he comes across as a smug asshole. And his repeated confusion over the names of the books and documentaries that he was asking about, calling Club 662

His posturing, shaking his head, pretending I was cutting him off when I wasn't, was an obvious act and I think everyone in the courtroom saw it for that. To be blunt, I think he comes across as a smug asshole. And his repeated confusion over the names of the books and documentaries that he was asking about, calling Club 662 "Club 666" etc. made him look unprepared to me. But IMO his biggest mistakes/failures were: 1. Before the jury came in, he argued with me and the prosecution to keep my recording of Keffe's interview for Death Row Chronicles from being admitted as evidence. I was prepared to address his concerns and he lost that argument. The jury then got to spend most of the day hearing his client describe the night of Tupac's murder in vivid detail. And if you were watching the attorney's cross-examination of me, you'll notice he didn't bring up the content of that interview ...because it was extremely damning to his client. 2. He attempted to defame Greg Kading again and then lost the prosecution's objection to that line of questioning, taking his favorite punching bag off the table. 3. But IMO his biggest error is one that I think may have been missed by a lot of folks watching, and it came while he was asking me if I'd interviewed Suge Knight, Foxy Brown, etc. while researching the case (the answer was "no" because A) they weren't going to talk to me, and B) even if they did, they weren't going to disclose anything useful; plus, I already had interviews and reports for them in the case files.) But during this section of the cross-examination, Sanft committed the cardinal sin of trial lawyering: He asked me a question he didn't already know the answer to - he asked if I'd ever confirmed if there was a "Liquor Barn" in the area of Las Vegas near the scene of the shooting, which is the liquor store that Keffe claims they stopped at where he switched vehicles and got into the white Cadillac shortly before Tupac was shot. I think he was expecting another "no" but my answer was YES, I actually had researched that. And then, unbeknownst to me, the prosecution had ALSO confirmed that store's existence, and as a result of that question, they were able to enter that into evidence, confirming an important piece of Keffe's story from that night. -- I came across an interview with Keffe's attorney outside the courtroom after my testimony, and he looked frustrated and called my testimony "theatrics" (which is hilarious - he set the tone of the cross-examination, I just met him at his level). But when asked how he thought the trial was going, he took a long pause, then stuttered, and then talked about taking things one day at a time. Nobody knows how the jury will ultimately rule, but I don't think he accomplished what he set out to do with his cross-examination of me. I'm still avoiding watching the trial because technically I can still be called back to offer additional testimony, so I won't be able to comment here on anyone else's testimony.
