before you read my whys… if you want a program that follows these philosophies, join my team on Ladder RISK FREE bc first week is free🫶🏼 in my bio @Ladder | Fitness App 1.	100% restricting it usually backfires and causes a binge cycle. it’s better to fit them into your macros so you stay consistent long term. I log treats in advance so I can get excited and look forward to it ! 2.	SCREAMING that this doesn’t build the strength or muscle that heavier, progressive loading does to ya. it just fatigues you without real growth 3.	training through every day without recovery slows your progress and increases injury risk. Get your 8 hours and let your muscles actually grow during rest. 4.	do I need to explain? 5.	punishing yourself with extra cardio to “cover” food creates an unhealthy relationship with both training and eating. create a plan and stick to it. If you go over try again tomorrow. Use cardio to help your deficit not fix it. 6.	compounds (ex. hip thrust) build the strength and muscle base that isolations (ex. kickbacks) can’t replace on their own. Both are good and useful for their own purposes. 7.	training should support your life, not consume it. Genuine happiness, overall health and balance should be the foremost importance. the gym should HELP you get there. 8.	chasing a calorie number over actually fueling your body leads to burnout and poor performance. In my PERSONAL experience it also leads you to fall on “protein” labeled foods (that maybe are filled with shit) to help you reach a goal instead of reaching for whole foods first. 9.	constantly changing programs prevents you from ever seeing real progressive overload results. 10. if you’re going to put in the time, you might as well put in the effort. and for the love of all things good let’s stop not pushing ourselves to failure for the fear of getting bulky 😭
