When my moms dog would get like that I’d grab the bowl and loudly make an ordeal of stirring things around in the bowl, opening/closing drawers & getting utensils out, putting it in the microwave & pushing buttons (but not turning it on), waiting, then saying “OKAY ITS READY” - he’d eat it all. He wanted to watch me labor for his food. He wants a gourmet experience. He yearns for hibachi.

My husky won’t eat sometimes until I sit down and basically make him smell his food and hand feed her lol or sometimes she just wants some cheese added to her food 🤣

Its in the DNA, my huskies do the same thing. Will tell me their bowls empty, stand there and watch fill it and then walk away. 🤣🤣🤣

Mine starves himself, then pukes everywhere. Then eats. Then starves etc. we’ve been to the vet… their diagnosis- he’s selectively starving himself for attention.

My husky chow cross does that… I pick the bowl up, pretend as if I am adding more (get the bag out etc) but put the original bowl down with the same amount in it. He then wolfs it down. I maaaayyyy add a lixilix topper on it if I’m being nicer than normal 🤣

When I first got my girl husky I thought she hated her food cause she wouldn’t eat it. I tried different food, food toppers, but she still wouldn’t eat regularly. So I decided just to leave it out until she ate it. Turns out she’s a midnight snacker and mostly only eats in the middle of the night 😭

My husky will do the same thing. I will put her food down and she’ll just stare at me. And then I learned the trick of adding just a little bit of bone broth. She now thinks it’s a treat with her dinner and will eat every time.
