I remember having terrible nightmares when I was 5 and I would go to my parents room to try and climb in bed seeking a safe place. I was not allowed to get into bed so I started just laying on the floor next to their bed but then they started locking their door so I would sleep outside the door on the floor. I can't fathom doing that to my babies 😔

I remember when my mom was telling everybody what a problem I was and recommended a therapist. she took me until the therapist sat with us both one day and told her that I have been raising myself. she refused to take me to a therapist again

learning something basic in front of other people, especially if they already know what they're doing, is one of the only things in life that absolutely infuriates me. i don't know what it is exactly but I get so extremely embarrassed which then makes me ill and i don't want to participate any longer. i'm also autistic so I need to understand the micro-movements as well but no one teaches that and how do i even know what to ask to learn? case in point, i'm 36 years old and don't even know how to ride a bicycle 🙄 my narcissistic mom couldn't be bothered to teach me many basic things in life, riding bikes being just one such example.

At night, when I felt scared, I would talk to the wall of my room until I felt reassured and fell asleep. I would tell myself stories. Once, I went to my mother, feeling scared. She told me to go back to sleep while she hugged my brother. So, I just fell asleep at her feet, just to feel a little safe. Whenever I remember that moment, I feel broken. Even though I'm a mother now, she still breaks me and hurts me, and there are so many other things. 💔
