Life can be so incredibly strange. She was loved, yet I can’t help but wonder: if she had asked for this building to be lit up in pink for her birthday,she would have received an invoice $$$$$ Yet, in her death, we do extraordinary things. Perhaps this is a reminder that love should not wait for a funeral. We should celebrate people while they are still here, show them how much they mean to us, and give them flowers while they can still smell them. If we showed one another more genuine love, kindness and compassion without expecting anything in return, perhaps the world would be a little more peaceful — with less stress, less sadness, less loneliness, and maybe even fewer people suffering in silence. Sadly, this world can be incredibly cruel sometimes. But each of us has the power to make someone’s little corner of it a little softer, simply by choosing to love more — while they are still here.
