You can find and purchase ekiben all over the train stations. Prices range anywhere from 300-1500+ yen. (My ekiben cost 1180 yen). They are usually sold at stores or through local vendors. You are allowed to drink and eat when riding the shinkansen (bullet train). Make sure to buy your drinks at a convenience store beforehand!
