I think Elon musk rich dude is lying they aren’t gonna pay people to live in the silo they’ll hire them and then wipe their memories and make them feel like the world is already destroyed. Then the camera on the outside of the silo is gonna be faked fr hence the footage of when it was green they’d make it brown. That way Elon musk dude is alive n he’s in silo 1 on some snow piercer shi. The world does eventually get destroyed prolly bc of an instigated war

WHO said its slow? its got an awful lot of story to load up! I think its done at a fantastic pace and adapted perfectly to be a serial show, the cliffhanger of every episode feel deliberately written in rather than just as annoying hooks. I also think its not 400 years in the future...the memory wipe thing has got to be key to this plot point! It could be 4 days ago. They just dont remember 🤷♀️

As someone who’s read the books the show is going painfully slow 😩 season 3 should have been pure flashback, we’re losing so much flashback stuff because of this whole new Supply and Memory drug storylines added

I also don’t understand people’s complaints because I have been enthralled with this show every step of the way. Not once was I bored. My theory is that the people in one are at least partially cryogenically frozen and orchestrated the end of the world while controlling the other silos so that in 500 years they can become the leaders of the new world! I think and hope Daniel is still alive but I think Helen is long gone but her legacy lives on in with the flame keepers.

Most of book 2 is the flashback timeline and they've actually done a decent job of translating this to season 3. They've had to flesh out the present for season 3 and add a few new elements, which hasn't been a bad thing. Interesting theories you have though & it's fun watching it with people who don't know how it ends.

I can't deny season 2 was a bit slow at the start but I don't get the complaints on season 3 they did very well alternating between present and the past especially compared to the book
