The closer I get to God my standards have changed. One thing ive noticed is that cursing irritates m soul. So one day I said something about it. "OH now I gotta watch how I talk" was the response.

I'm saddened with saying this ...What if it is your spouse who is also a believer and you have set boundaries such as "no cussing" because it hurts my spirit so much or "no complaining because it turns into gossiping against someone" but it continues especially when they get wound up emotionally ? :(

My mom, I had to put distance between a lot of people in my life including her. She feels that because she’s my mother she’s not included in “everyone” and says I’ll always need her…no ma’am and she always uses threats or intimidation tactics to keep me around.

I've had to set boundaries with my mother and sister they refuse to see me as an adult and respect me as such. and they don't realize exactly how disrespectful they've been to me over the yrs. im a mom now and I refuse allow my child to see anybody disrespecting me or teaching her to intentionally contradict what im saying/teaching! now I'm the bad guy😭💯🤷🏾♀️now they best friends and talk about me and ts somehow always make it back to me 😭😭 whole time idec

I told my cousin don’t touch me and she had such a problem that I wouldn’t let her in my personal space and she would call me weird for not letting her touch my hair and she would always obsess over the length of my hair because it was long.😭

I went through this and I lost a friend because of it. I’m so happy that God revealed to me these issues and molded me into a better person today. I had no boundaries for myself, couldn’t stick up for myself, and allowed others to treat me every which way because I was scared to speak up
