I saw something that said if you get a panic on when you get to the door - use your non dominant hand to open the door and it tricks your brain.

this will work its what I do and taught it to my invalided husband concentrate on your breat in through your nose out through the mouth. Even used it when I was halfway home from the airport sitting is fine the 'urge' is on the background but nearer you get the harder it is so I started the breathing thing I didnt think i would be able to get out of the car and walk to the door but I managed it...... give it a go thank me later

I know this sound weird but try this .... put your key in your non dominant hand to open your door. your brain gets a little confused so it concentrates on the key and not your bladder xx

Stand on tip toes or use your opposite hand to open the door. It works.

We’ve got a shed/bar/reading and writing room at the back of our garden and sometimes I’m so locked in with writing or editing and then I think, uh oh, I need a wee. I keep loo roll in the shed because 9 times out of ten, I know I won’t get in the house, let alone the bathroom. So I just have a wee in the back garden. I do love a wild wee

Apparently if you open the front door with the opposite hand , it tricks your brain , I don’t actually believe but lol

Is it because the back up is there so your body feels like it's time to relax

Yep. I get this. Good trick is to sing a sing or count backwards from 100 the second you get the urge. It works! Brain distraction.

I’m ok until I see the loo. Then it’s a race to drop the drawers and not wet them! 🤭😝

You have to train yourself out of it. I don’t let myself go to the loo when I get home. I distract my brain.
