I also got dress coded because I had large breasts. I wore a dress with a tank top under it often, and never got bothered for it until I sat on the ground and a teacher standing in front of my could see my cleavage.

UK here, school starts at 8.50 and finishes at 3.15 with break time at 10.30 for 15 mins and lunch at 12.45-1.30. 7am start sounds like hell on earth, especially with raging hormones 😱

I went through high school with a pocketful of snacks to shove in my face between classes, because same 😂 and don’t forget we weren’t supposed to eat on the bus (I totally did anyway)

I remember my teachers when I was in high school pushing for later start times because it wasn’t a good learning environment for kids to get up so early. Fast forward years and years later, my kids go to school at the same time I did. 😒

My mom wouldn’t let me get the long boy shorts that I wanted & girl shorts fit me too short for the middle school dress code (I had a bigger butt & longer arms for a 12 year old). The school rule was that girl shorts had to go below your fingertips when you had your arms by your sides (there were basically no rules for boys clothes). I often got dress coded if I didn’t wear pants in 100 degree weather but my trick that worked sometimes was to wear a big sweatshirt so I could pull my shoulders up & pull my shorts way down just for dress code check. Middleschool in the US is a such a nightmare fever dream.

lol this is so real! also my stepkids get out of school just after 2. one of them has lunch at 10 am and one has it last period of the day so basically starves? high school is so unhinged 😅

My day started at 5:45am. Bus at 6:45am, school started at 8:05am and got out at 2:55pm. home at 4:15pm. I can’t remember drinking or eating anything most of the time. Crazy shit man
