@gamesdotgg: After a week of silence, @Rockstar Games has officially responded to the ongoing GTA 6 leaks in a candid statement. Posted to Instagram and X ahead of tomorrow's Netflix Extended Look, Rockstar called the situation "heartbreaking," writing: "It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time." The studio then went further, issuing a direct apology to fans: "We are very sorry that everything has taken as long as it has — from getting the game finished (nearly there!) to sharing more details and official gameplay, and providing the community with everything you want to know." Rockstar confirmed the Extended Look is still dropping tomorrow and signed off: "We know we need to exceed your expectations, and we are determined to deliver at the level you expect and deserve." At this boys and girls is called a corporate lesson as to not announce something and then dangle it in the public eye indefinitely milking hype. Say something shut up about it till it’s done or just don’t say anything until it’s presentable and leaks like this wouldn’t happen. Weird how it worked like that in the past and it can work like that again.
