I completely disagree—It's not impossible to achieve it, better phrasing is "it is harder to achieve it than before". I will acknowledge your claim, but their own traditional way can still work in modern times if executed properly. Yes, the economy is getting 'fucked up', but it doesn't mean it'll invalidate their own ways. Perhaps, we're not just accumulating cash in the work industry, but also experiences, that can be used to make you eligible for jobs in other countries with higher pays. The argument still leads to either choosing college or 'TESDA'. Both choices can still make you eligible for foreign jobs, but one can make you earn earlier than usual (that's expected). You can also still go to college solely if you actually take a course that is sustainable and high in demand, that gives you a larger leverage from ordinary. Perhaps, you can also take both simultaneously or after the other(better choice in my opinion). The goal in life is not to be "rich", it's to become financially stable, you'll never get a taste of a good life if you spend your lifetime chasing wealth.
[I kept it Neutral to acknowledge both sides of the story—neither choice is wrong, you just need to use the right strategy accordingly]
