ok so that's messed up but do you know how many more people would be mad if those data centers also didn't have electricity? do you remember when just one data center went down for tiktok and people were going nuts. I personally would rather have electricity in my home than be able to use certain apps or things on my phone.

I don’t think utility inflation gets talked about enough. I work for a nonprofit and every single day I process financial applications for assistance with utility bills. Some of these people’s bills are $800 a month. That is just insane.

Same thing is happening in Texas we’re huge AI data centres have taken over these small towns and making the town’s taxpayers pay the extra money for hydro not to mention the constant hum 24 ours a day people are getting screwed big time because of these centres

& The Canadian government is on the bandwagon of "Let's build data centers!" I'm not sure why Carney wants to follow Trump & this idea that data centers are the next newest way to make Canada better. Because it won't, it's going to pollute our waters use all of our power, just like in Gary Indiana and Lord knows what else, these data centers are doing. Erin Brockvich is on this case in the states. I'm not sure exactly what state it is, but she's on a case against these data centers being built. Texas was able to stop one being built because they were using parts not from America. #Skynet #Terminator

This happened to me during the tornado that tore up Tuscaloosa...2 1/2 weeks no power....I was breaking furniture for light, heat and to cook. There was looting....it was super scary.

Also, my electricity has been $600 to $700 the last 3 months. and it says I only use $250 to $300 in electricity. the rest is all fees. it's insane and needs to stop

Went to a funeral in Gary last year. It was like driving through a war zone. My Haitian friends in the car asked, "Where are we? What happened here" But, also, there were reports of residents shooting at the linemen there to make repairs after the storm. They left the area and then returned eventually with Police escorts. Gary is a whole different story with decades of trauma and systemic abuse.
