How I build 3D websites 👇 Academy in bio 🔗 For something like this, I would start with a dark editorial layout built around a floating glass sculpture that slowly reshapes as the visitor moves through the page. The first thing you would see is the object suspended in the center of the screen with very little text around it. I would model the base form in Blender, then bring it into React Three Fiber so I could control the camera, lighting, materials, and interactions directly inside the website. Instead of making the sculpture spin constantly, I would connect its rotation and deformation to scroll progress. As you move down the page, the camera would slowly orbit around the object while different sections reveal new angles. GSAP ScrollTrigger would handle the sequencing, and Lenis would smooth out the scroll so the motion feels continuous instead of jumping between states. For the material, I would use a custom GLSL shader instead of a basic transparent material. That gives me more control over refraction, edge highlights, subtle color shifts, and distortion. Cursor movement could slightly bend the surface normals, so the sculpture reacts when your mouse gets close without feeling like a gimmick. I would also add a small particle field behind it. Those particles would move at different depths to create parallax, with the nearest particles reacting more aggressively to cursor movement. On mobile, I would simplify that interaction and use touch position instead. The typography would stay mostly flat and sharp so it contrasts with the soft 3D motion. I would use Framer Motion for text reveals and page transitions, keeping those animations short so the 3D remains the main focus. Performance matters just as much as the visuals. I would compress the model, reduce unnecessary geometry, lazy load heavier assets, limit shader complexity on weaker devices, and reduce particle count based on screen size. That combination gives you a site where the 3D is not just decoration. It becomes part of the navigation and pacing. Save this if you want to study more interactive web builds. #fable #webdevelopment #webdesign #3dwebsite #claude
