My daughter is in 1st grade now. Communications between you and the teacher(s) will be one of the most important things early on. My daughter's teacher is great about it and thay gives me opportunities to help my daughter understand what the rules are, and more importantly, WHY they are rules😂

it's not you darling it's them they're like that on purpose if they weren't like that on purpose you could get clear communication in the school will perform better and operate better and kids would be happier and more willing to go

meet teacher outside of parent teacher meeting and get a 504 set up minimum. pain but also saving my sanity. went to private school so I never heard of 504s before my kids existed. if you can do it, set up 2 weeks of gallon ziplock bags with dry lunch items so you don't have to do that in the morning. too fried last year to do it but regretted it daily.

I’m audhd. So is my son. His school has been amazing. His teachers understand him. He gets extra help and sensory supports where needed. If your child hasn’t been evaluated for an iep start the process.
