@navoyhome: Giving you permission here to try something new and not get it right the first time. I wanted a walkway because I always found myself unloading my car and then always being in the yard (2 cars in the driveway and no garage!) I went off of YouTube videos and a prayer for this one - I thought I could get away with using a thinner porcelain pavers for this project in the front yard. WRONG! Lol. They were too thin and wouldn’t allow for enough gravel coverage on the sides of them to accomplish the look I was aiming for. They also didn’t come up to the height of the driveway/sidewalk. So I returned them, got a free upper body workout, and then gave in and ordered the correct ones from Home Depot (online). Worth every penny of the $70 delivery fee. Was I bummed that my initial plan was a bust? Slightly. But the ground was prepped, there was nothing to do but pivot and deploy the big guns (my husband). I make mistakes because I’m not a pro. I’m an average person, with average skill, desperate to make our house a little bit nicer one project at a time. The above average piece is just my commitment to figuring it out 💓 🔨 Follow along to keep up with The Curb Appeal Project series - I’m not stopping until I don’t recognize my house! NEXT EPISODE: Laying the correct pavers, the surrounding gravel & paver project reveal. (Thanks @Taylor + Cody for inspiring this project! Check out their awesome content!)
