My matric dance is something I have been looking forward to for a long time. It is one of those moments that I know I will remember for the rest of my life, so I want to feel confident, beautiful and comfortable when I walk into the venue. NIVEA could help me feel confident by helping me take care of my skin and feel fresh and comfortable throughout the night. Looking good is important to me, but feeling good in my own skin is even more important. I want to be able to enjoy myself, dance, laugh and take pictures without constantly worrying about how I look. My matric dance is also a celebration of how far I have come. High school has had its good and difficult moments, but I have made it this far and I am proud of myself. I want to celebrate this special chapter with my friends and create memories that I can look back on when I am older. Winning this experience would honestly mean so much to me. It would make my matric dance even more special and give me an experience that I might not get again. I would love to feel pampered, confident and like the best version of myself on such an important night. I also want my family to see me happy and proud of myself because they have supported me throughout my school journey. Being able to share such a beautiful experience with them would make it even more meaningful. For me, winning is not only about getting something for my matric dance. It is about celebrating myself, making unforgettable memories and ending my school journey on a beautiful note. I would be truly grateful to NIVEA for giving me the chance to make my matric dance a night I will never forget.

My Matric Dance is more than just a night where I get dressed up and dance with my friends. 🥹💙 It represents the end of such a big chapter of my life — all the late nights studying, the stressful moments, the tears, the laughter, the friendships, the growth and everything I’ve had to overcome to get to this point. As a Grade 12 learner, I’ve spent so much of this year trying to stay focused, believe in myself and make the most of my final year. Sometimes it’s easy to forget to celebrate yourself when you’re constantly worrying about the next test, the next deadline or the future. I have been looking forward to my matric dance my whole life... but having dry skin has always made me feel insecure. My skin gets ashy and cracked especially in winter, and I used to hide my legs because I didn't feel beautiful enough to wear a dress. NIVEA can help me have confidence, with soft, glowing skin I can finally walk into my matric dance feeling beautiful. Warm greetings my name is Alwande Ngcobo. I would really appreciate if Nivea helped in making my last high school year a memorable one by having me feeling and looking confident at my matric dance. Winning this competition would definitely boost my confidence because I know for a fact that there are no means for me to partake in the matric dance. Having an unemployed single parent may be disadvantageous, but it motivates us to strive for more.
