That goes for all of the top teams. If Kimi, Lewis, and Lando are the drivers realistically still fighting for this championship, then Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren should be making decisions that maximize those drivers’ chances

Yeah kimi wasn’t gonna win at zandvoort but with both Ferrari and McLaren catching up to the Mercedes performance wise they are gonna have to prioritize the driver with the most points to ensure they don’t end up in the same predicament McLaren was in last year.

Kimi was 2nd before they made him pit. He was going to get 2nd place anyway. If anything he slowed down Hamilton so George could get 3rd.
