@young_carlin: Some people are surprised that I already have a chore chart for my 4-year-old, but honestly, I’d rather start early than wait until they’re 8 and suddenly expect them to pick up after themselves. And my 1-year-old LOVES unloading the dishwasher, so why wouldn’t I include him too? 😂 Don’t worry, this is just a few minutes out of their day. The rest of the time, they’re fully allowed to just be kids—playing, making messes, being silly, and enjoying childhood. It’s not about making them work or earning an allowance. It’s about teaching them that we all live here, we all make messes, and we all have a part in taking care of our home. 🩵 Sometimes they can absolutely earn money for a toy they really want—but responsibility comes before rewards. #sahm #choresinthishouse #responsibility
