I believe (correct if wrong) Toyota/Mazda have quietly indicated they too are not expanding any production in North America until the policymakers change. In a nutshell business in general cannot make appropriate decisions in an unstable, chaotic pricing environment.

I hauled alot of vehicles out of the plant in Alliston on. Class A facility.

the problem is that the automotive sector in North America is so intertwined since Nafta that a part can cross the border 8 times (CA/US/MC) before being installed into a vehicle. This will essentially kill the entire North American auto industry. Also the tariffs on the parts are higher than the tariffs on vehicles built outside of North America, which will make them cheaper to buy than North American vehicles.
