Isn't that $150k number dependent on your age though? $150k invested at 30yo is very different than investing the same amount at 65yo. I would say at some age, that $150k threshold starts increasing. This is assuming you want 1.5-3 million for retirement.

At a certain point I entered a void of "too much to imagine spending, too little to stop investing." All the numbers since then have felt basically the same. For me that void is like $25k-$1m, it's huge. Long time in it, long time left to go

This is so true. I’ve never made a large income, and it’s only natural to become discouraged when you see people talking about “you should have X amount of money by the time you’re this age”. A lot of those numbers would make me think I’d never get there. Seeing messages like this where you just try to reach a reasonable number and compound it has helped me the last couple years. Doing a lot better than what I thought I could. You’ve got great content, Kenneth. Appreciate it 💪
