My brother passed away around 2 months ago. I got the call while I was at work. Had I been at school and not been able to get the call because of some stupid law, no one would be hearing the end of it.

My school has yonder pouches or however you spell it and kids with diabetes have a normal yonder pouch for their personal phone and their medical phone still has one but it’s a Velcro opening one

Sorry but schools won’t dictate my son’s property placement. Unless they pay my phone bill sure, this world has been so unsafe and it’s always where you don’t expect it. Point blank my son will have his phone in his bag incase of emergency instead of a text saying “the school is locked down, we have no information” Rather know my son is safe.

We can use the phones in the morning and at the end of the day. It’s really nothing for our school. We had this last year as well.

i don’t work at a school, BUT what we are doing is having locks on our lockers and keeping them in there for the day. the teachers have a code lock on there phone that can only be accessed through email. for the kids that have medical issues are allowed to have their phone throughout the day.

I agree no phones in the classrooms. schools are a safe place and if emergencies happen teachers are trained to deal with it. my children (one in school) will not have a cell phone til they can pay for it. no need for elementary kids to have cell phones.

There are issues with my school because there’s a lot of special needs students at my school and they need to have iPads or phones on their person 24 seven that are easily accessible and the school phone band really puts their health at risk

I wonder what they r gonna do with the students that needs their phone for like you said for diabetes cause they need that so they can not only monitor it but also give themselves the insulin they need throughout the day. I’m worried that they’ll try to not allow them to have their phone.

"personal devices" alright no theyre not taking my watch first of all, i check my heart rate with that. ill leave my earbuds in my bag , we need our computers or tablets.. and my school has a dumb system that keeps doors locked and unlock them.. requires phone cus face id doesnt always work.. what are we doing

🗣️🗣️🗣️SCHOOLS ARE NOT SAFE ENOUGH TO BAN PHONES 🗣️🗣️🗣️my daughter isn’t old enough to have a phone at school, but even when she is, she wont be handing it in. I agree it doesn’t need to be used during class. But we all know emergencies happen

My son goes to private school in Maine, thankfully they don’t have to follow this. Because guidelines for public school vs private are very different. He started high school this year, and I’m so thankful.
