In fact the fromsoft enjoyers I hope you enjoy this game 😊) (If you think this is a a souls like copy then you’re going to admit that elden ring killed dark fantasy. Any future dark fantasy should make the graphics look mediocre.) For the people who just came into the comments. Liu Wei(hoyo dev) confirmed the inspiration came from an ancient text known as “Shanhai Jing” or “classics of mountains and seas” in English. The other dev team with nodusfall has also confirmed that nodusfall is inspired by multiple mythologies but the main inspiration is from “Shanhai Jing”. Nodusfall is inspired by mythology. I’ll give you a few details. The one you compare to melania is described in the Shanhai Jing as “winged people”, it’s self explanatory to how they look as you compare melania. The one you compare to the frenzied flame is actually known as “Dijiang” in the text as well and it is described as “a red glowing ball sack” or “a ball of burning fire”, self explanatory. The human body is inspired from surtr(Norse mythology). The Godfrey comparison with the summon, is listed as “giant people” in the Shanhai Jing. The so called flower explosion is a nine tailed fox which exists in the shanhai Jing as well. The dragon riders also exists within the Shanhai Jing as it describes deities riding dragons or handling them. All types of creatures are in the text as well, including the chimera. I hope this comment has enlightened you. Dijiang is also a physical appearance of the hundun. Shanhai Jing was written in the early Han era. 1st century to 4th century.
