I went through the same thing but with a female. lol. a whole 1.5 years I was tge dirty little secret. but was never in an actual relationship. always excuses bit always wanted to hook up. I put a stop to it because I was feeling I was not being true to the lord and everything changed and everything was turned to my fault. so I get what you went through.

I believe God puts us through these seasons, number one to learn, but also number two to take that knowledge and to give it to other people. We are light for others. The best of us have been through the worst days because we are chosen by God to teach and help others. I believe this was a blessing. God loves you. God loves me and he loves everybody else that goes through struggles like this because we are meant to teach and make the world a better place.

That's one thing, about being a lone for a very long time. Once you addicted to your peace, silence , easy routines. Finally due to human nature , we start craving for intimacy , the first person who shows up and ticks your boxes that you created in your healing phase. Because you are tired n bored of loneliness , you let them in. Forgetting there are predators , they prey, on hopeless romantics. Because you believed you are healed, you turned off your own defensive mechanism against red flags. You want things to work , you no longer interested in a witch hunt.. this happens...
