@saltsugarandstories: Good Morning, y’all. ❤️ I was pretty quiet yesterday. I only made one video because I just wasn’t feeling it. Dolly died, I was sad, and then I made the terrible decision to doom scroll most of the day. Lord have mercy, there is some YUCKY stuff on social media right now. Trials, arguments, opinions, etc. Just gross stuff. So this morning I told Kenny I had thought of something pretty profound I wanted to say about one of those things. Kenny: “I think you should stay in your lane.” 😂 Cooking. Stories. Family. Keep it light. Stay out of the controversy. And you know what? He may be right. I know the Lord gave me this platform and a voice for a reason, and I’ll never stop talking about Him when it’s on my heart. But maybe I don’t have to have an opinion OUT LOUD about every daggum thing I see. We’ll see how long I can manage that. ⏰⏳📆😂 BUT… since we’re talking about things I saw while doom scrolling, can we discuss AI ads for a minute?? I HATE THEM. 😂 I’m sorry, but I do. They are so fake and so inaccurate and look so stupid. If you’re selling me shoes and one shoe has a kitten heel and the other one looks like I’m headed to the club in 1997, WHICH SHOE AM I BUYING?? 😂 And then one of y’all sent me an ad where a brand had taken ME, recreated an AI version of me in what looked like my kitchen, and had fake-AI-me saying the words from a REAL video I made. Nope. Don’t like it. Not even a little bit. If you have a real creator whose real video performed well, why replace her with a fake version of her? The whole reason people trust creators is because there’s an actual HUMAN on the other side of that screen. Anyway……look at me “staying out of controversy.” 😂 Meanwhile I was saying all of this while making Bashy, Kenny and myself some good old-fashioned SUGAR TOAST. White bread, butter, sugar, under the broiler until it gets golden and bubbly and crispy around the edges. No cinnamon because I don’t like cinnamon. 😂 Salty, sweet, buttery perfection. So there you go. Good morning from our house, where Kenny is trying to keep me in my niche, Bash is home because school was canceled, I’m yelling at fake AI and the brands that make them, all while we’re eating sugar toast for breakfast.
