My son is 2 and he started screaming in frustration when I tell him not to do certain things… I been asking what is he feeling so he can work through his emotions and I been teaching him breathing techniques 😂 but it’s been quite funny when realizing they are growing to be their own little person with feelings and emotions. We are both learning at the same time, he is my oldest child 😅

my daughter is 23 months and does this. She will get seriously offended and upset if we tell her "no!" I have found that if I calmly say no a dont make a big reaction, she doesn't get as upset.

omg. we both have different perspective. you are happy that she changed and cried and point out you are angry but its a positive for you. while i beat myself because I feel so bad for her because I feel like I am mistreating her and now she understands why I am angry. i feel bad when she says sorry bcos i cant control my anger. i feel depress whenever this happens to us :(

For us it helped to tell for example on a very calm tonne do not touch the oven followed by an explanation why she is not allowed to do that… and say thank you at the end.

My boy is the same age and has just started this too he tells me “ cranky” all the time now and kisses my boo boos tells me I’m hurt and they are ouch it’s such an instant shift in behaviour I was not expecting this either
