@pharmunique_: One thing I’ve learned from growing different varieties of collards is that all collards don’t grow the same! These are my Nancy Malone Wheat Purple collards, and I’ve noticed that this variety is quick to bolt once the temperatures start warming up. That’s one of the reasons I prefer growing my collards in the fall. The cooler weather gives me a much longer growing window and allows me to enjoy multiple harvests before the heat becomes an issue. When choosing collards for your garden, don’t just grab any variety. Take the time to learn what you’re growing. Pay attention to its heat and cold tolerance, days to maturity, and how well it grows in your climate. Then choose your planting time accordingly. For me, fall collards will always be my preference. I can plant them as the weather cools down and enjoy fresh collard greens for months! These Nancy Malone Wheat Purple collard seeds came from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange at southernexposure.com. I also have a list of some of my favorite seed companies available through the 🔗 in my bio if you’re looking for places to shop for seeds. #creatorsearchinsights #GardenTips #VegetableGardening
