This is Literally so stressful. I used to be able to get a 16 week supply of my patches, and now I have to run around to try to find a month supply, and am lucky to find that. What are some of the back ups?

I’m hoarding mine as an emergency and using the gel for now. I’m also realizing how badly CVS sucks but COSTCO is great. If I hadn’t found the gel, I was going the out-of-pocket online option as the pharmacies that don’t accept insurance have plenty.

I am on a .5 patch for over a year, all of a sudden I wasn’t able to get it for six weeks. None of my local pharmacies had it, they only had the .25 patch available. I went to my doctor had her write me a new prescription for the .25 (2 patches) twice a week and that is how I was able to get back on track with my HRT

It’s a shortage!!! Every month I’m at the pharmacy begging for my patches. There have been 2 times where I went a week with out it and it took weeks to get back to baseline.

I get mine compounded into a pill with progesterone, estrogen, testosterone and dhea. I haven’t had any issues getting it. I take 1 pill at night.

Why can’t we call it a shortage?? That is exactly what my pharmacies are calling it when they tell me they are out of stock and on back order.

I need to look into hormone therapy too. Not something I would even think of at my age. It’s not talked about enough. My mother never talked to me about menopause or anything. So at 47 I’m now learning more about this. My dr has said nothing to me about it either. Ugh 😑

I just quoted the stat 5% of women using HRT the other day on a panel and the audience was aghast so low. So crazy. Declare it a shortage!
