The secret is to create something like Fnaf or The Amazing Digital Circus. Something that appears to be one thing, while appealing to the other, but good enough that the not target demographic stays. TADC is famous for this. Its a very existential dread show for adults, but due to the censored swearing (which had plenty) and colorful graphics, that was enough for children to like. FNAF has/had the opposite problem. Its a horror game aimed at kids, but due to the aesthetics, nostalgia and involvememt to get the story, it attracts (retains honestly) adults

I feel like indie movies are only accessible to people in big cities and westerners only... as someone who live in a smaller town in a small asian country, they either dont get shown at all or only showed for a few days, a week at best unfortunately.
