great advice is TALK to your kids about predators. that they can come in any form. family member, friend, teacher, coach, neighbor etc. this needs to be taught to kids from a much younger age than you think😥

This theory has always haunted me. from the movie where the heart is with Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. In the movie Ashley Judd needs a man that uses her to get to her children and she said it was strange how he was in interested in her kids. She thought it was a blessing, but it was to get close to them to the wrong reason that movie literally terrifying me as a kid.

When I was about 5 or 6 and my Mom had just become single after divorce and moved to a new city, the male neighbor next door befriended my mom and even though I was little, I could tell he was creepy. He was way too interested in interacting with me and randomly got me a stuffed elephant. They weren’t dating and luckily he moved away soon after because I was sure he was laying groundwork

Sad that people like that exist. I never understood why people post their kids on dating sites or social media. Just seems like a bad idea. Thank you @hollymadison for bringing awareness to this. 🙏

when I was growing up my mom was friends with a single mom. She married a guy who ended up SA her daughter for YEARS before it came out. He absolutely played the long game with the mom. Turns out he had been convicted before but she had no idea (this was in the late 80s, so information was not available like it is now).
