she only ever writes a new book when she has something important to say about current political events. she just happens to do it through using this rich fictional world as her medium. if you want to try to guess what her next book will be you should read the news!

This hits far too close to divergent to me, which is why I don’t think that would be the route she goes with this next book. Perhaps the hook that someone started the famine but not that there’s a third party observing them to see how well they can survive.

I feel like there probably is other people who survived. Like out of the entire world you can't tell me Americans (Americans of all people) are the only ones who survived a nuclear disaster. There has to be other people, they probably just live in different continents and all the human groups are isolated so they think they are alone
