i went through this journey 7 surgeries in total. i had my last surgery november last year after having had a draining seton for 18 months. there are some great fistula help groups on facebook Also November 7th is Fistula Awareness day. good luck with your journey.

Try the Epsom salt bath, it will clean the area and sooth it. Pat dry or use cool air from hair dryer to make sure the area isn’t moist.

I said exactly that! They left me 6 weeks after telling me I needed surgery for fistula and seton- I ended up with two abscess which I’m one week post op, now struggling to get nurse appointments for weekends😩😩

I bought a peri bottle and used that to clean the area after every time I went to the bathroom 👍🏻
