@brownprecollege: We gave Van B. '26 a disposable camera to showcase his time on campus with us. No filters. These are his photos. "I chose Brown Pre-College because I wanted to improve academically over the summer with subjects not offered in my regular high school curriculum. The collaborative and challenging environment made me look forward to the program. I took a course focused on Microeconomics. Through the course, I learned how individuals make decisions based on incentives and limitations. I gained a stronger foundation, which improved my economic reasoning and understanding of key concepts. My biggest takeaway from the program was gaining confidence in my ability to approach others in hopes of befriending many. The program's activities throughout the weeks were where I was able to meet many people from different backgrounds, gaining new perspectives that I will be able to carry with me moving forward. One of my favorite memories that I made at Brown this summer was the group projects in cozy coffee shops in the morning to escape the heat before classes. The coffee shops, specifically Ceremony (pictured), that are embedded in the Brown area offer great places for small groups to discuss and listen to the opinions of peers while enjoying the great coffee." 📸 Van B. #brownprecollege2026 #brownprecollege #brownu #brownuniversity
