The one and only time I ever ate at a doggie diner was the one across the street from the San Francisco Zoo it was like 77 I will always remember the signs.

I remember In East Oakland they have one on 98th avenue and East 14th. they had these deep fried burritos that were crazy. the chili had a its own unique taste. it was a cool spot. them McDonald's got built right across the street and it was a wrap. doggie diner went out of business not too long after

This was my very first job,AL Ross was my boss,John Mohn,Jerry Wisinger,Avon Watts was a supervisor Mr.Brown ran the graveyard shift on 98th Ave before the Arco was built across the street owned by Bill & Juanita Tyrone Jackson, Dallas, Myron,Canten, my best friend Kim Laurence my self I was promoted to Manager quick my Sister Marlene ran El Cerrito my brother Bradley ran several in San Francisco Western Burger pastrami sandwich chili cheese burritos we had special customers daily Mr.Bullard crazy Willie 🤪 very family oriented that's when customer service was great my boss would say eating out is suppose to be fun we had orange uniforms also gold yellow this is by far one of my favorite throw back post. The owner of Oakland Don't Play on 79th Rusdale sales a throw back sweat jacket with Doggie Diner on it Hayward San Lorenzo, 98th Fruitvale,16th Broadway,MacArthur Telegraph, El,Cerrito, Alameda, Richmond, several in San Francisco ♥️❤️Thanks for this post ❤️❤️👏🥰

I love doggy diners when I was a youngster coming from the skate and rain late night. The one in oakland and in downtown hayward. Why are you waiting on your order? They would have those nice heaters above your head, warming your body up.💯💪🏾👏🏾👏🏾

My fav spot by the SF Beach. That dog's head is still there! I was just there with my grandson and told him about the restaurant, and now sharing your video with him.

Hot 🥵 dogs 🐕 would pop when you bit into them! My dad used to bring us hot dogs, fries and coke. Surprise us at school!

My Dad worked for them after he came home from the Vietnam war. He managed many thru the City. Such awesome memories as a kid. Loved the chili burritos.
