Please ignore the inflated numbers circulating from other sources. Many of those totals still contain duplicate or unverified tornado reports that have yet to go through the necessary quality-control process. And WOW — Illinois stands out with an unbelievable 210 confirmed tornadoes. 🌪️ But Illinois isn’t alone. Look at the remarkable cluster across the surrounding Midwest, particularly Iowa, Indiana, and Missouri, which are also posting exceptionally high tornado totals. What really stands out is how much tornado activity has been concentrated east of the traditional “Tornado Alley” this year.
