@tapingeorgia: UPDATE: DEKALB WON. Two months ago, we showed you DeKalb residents fighting back against massive data center development. Now, the fight has produced a major victory. After nearly a year of community opposition, DeKalb County commissioners unanimously rejected the proposed 2-million-square-foot data center in Ellenwood. Residents raised concerns about pollution, water, electricity, infrastructure and the impact on a majority-Black community. The community spoke. County leaders listened. And this time, the people won. But the fight over data centers in Georgia isn’t over. DeKalb is still dealing with a moratorium and legal challenges from developers. This is why local voices matter. This is why staying informed matters. #FEDUP #DeKalbCounty #GeorgiaNews #fyp #DataCenters
