my view.. Trump wanted Can to drop required french on labels at last min.. seems like a small ask..But to do that Carney would have to call back parliament to vote to change all laws and bills that have both language required on importants. And any party that Proposes removing French is political suicide. it wouldn't pass and be a non confidence, and we would he in elections. So simple he had 2 options reject or Cause an election and be 18 months before a deal could be made.
