Apologies in advance, this is going to be a wall of text. Tanner in scrutinized is a much more compelling villain than Tanner in wttg3. In the latter game, practically every single one of his jumpscares seemed uncharacteristic for some reason, aside from him leaping across the table. I know lore wise TECHNICALLY it would make sense that he's in the game (bc Tanner is indebted to evil Adam I believe, haven't gotten scrutinized ending YET), but it felt weird that he was going after us in the motel???? Like if we were playing as bitstriker (who's playing from a basement) that scene seems more like tanner's haunt. I'm also not realy big into the dlcs aside from the classy outfit, as they more certainly are fanservice. I suppose Adam must reap income somewhere...... still. If there HAD to be dlcs then disguises for Tanner would have been a good way to do so, as there is literally a bolo for this guy so it would make sense (hence why I'm fine w the classy outfit, cuz ig that would be the aftermath of a black tie event). Lastly, he's just more sinister in scrutinized. I often found myself comparing the relationship between him and Luna to the one btwn Hannibal and Will graham, for whatever reason. Once again, haven't gotten the ending YET but from what I know of it....... I'm creeped! I suppose the factor of the context is which each game has also plays a role in this: scrutinized is from the pov of Luna, in a private setting, who has NO reason to be tanners target and isn't even expecting him (yes, obvi there's the bolo but that's for us, the player). While in wttg3, Simon knows that there are threats on his life. Sure, he didn't exactly sign UP for it, but he is in a public setting and is less alone, and also literally receives a manual on all of these villains. TLDR: scrutinized Tanner makes more sense to me and is what I prefer (and actually played bc only have seen a playthru of wttg3), lore wise sure ig he would be in wttg3 but eh for me personally, not real hot on the DLCs but what can I do.

legit tho.. Adam just turned him i to a money grab in WTTG3 with the DLC's. they made him look younger even tho i'm 99% sure it plays out AFTER Scrutinized 🤨 i will forever prefer Scrutinized Tanner but I won't complain they brought him back, even if it was in the wrong way. (pointing myself out fr)

I couldn’t agree more! I mean I’m happy he’s in the game but Scrutinized Tanner just felt different. (Idk why but I also preferred the noir in Dead signal more than in wttg3)
