It can happen but there's a few things that have to occur for it to happen. Accountability. Forgiveness. Reassurance. Redefining of the relationship/the relationshiphas to be and look completely different. If none of those things happen it will NOT work, old wounds will reopen, old patterns will occur and repeat and yall will break up again. Yall literally have to unlearn every negative, toxic and hurtful thing that has happened in the previous stint of the relationship.

Yes! I’m going through this and took a long time to get there. Working on myself for him vs working on myself for me. We’re not back together, but reconnecting and I can see the difference in myself. I know he’s still working on him. Before I wouldn’t be ok with this, now I am. I still have hope and believe we will end up back together but I am also at peace with time.

This use to be me. And we did and it was great until it wasnt, I put in work when we were apart therapu growth refinding myself he got a new girl no progress on his part. Same story and no accountability same break up.
