Son in icu , hit by a truck , coma 3.5 weeks . Sepsis , amputation . To many to list . Those icu nurses were my family !!!!! Wouldn’t have gotten through it without them . And btw he lived 💙

When I turned 30, a colleague made a big fuss - "ohhhh you've left your 20s...ohhhh how does it feel?"...I looked her dead in the face and said "well not everyone is lucky enough to make it to their 30s so I'm very grateful"

anyone suffering with depression i encourage you to take a walk around a special needs school and take a look at all the children that will need care and support for the rest of their lives and if that doesn't make you rethink your life I don't know what will.

Have a story if you can hang with me for a bit. I was a L&D RN for 24 years. Put myself through nursing school as a single mother. I later got heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, Lupus, and chronic kidney failure. I grieved not being able to work. I was scared to go anywhere. Afraid I would die. I’m a Christian so it wasn’t that, I was just scared of everything. In Dec 2020 I got Covid and nearly died. I coded, had a heart attack, was on the vent for weeks, bilateral PEs, 3 kinds of pneumonia, severe ARDS, chest tube, 49 days in the hospital.But I made it. I was determined to not waste the second chance God gave me. I have LIVED since then. I said Covid didn’t take me out, I’m tougher than I thought and God wants me here for a reason. I’ve read my Bible 4 times cover to cover now. I pray every day. I am a different person. I’m not sorry I got Covid because I got a new lease on life! I had amazing nurses, one who I’m friends with now. He said you and one other man are the sickest that I took care of that survived. I share the Lord with anybody that will listen. I am so sorry for those that didn’t make it. Thank you for all your hard work, truly- THANK YOU!

I had a major stroke at 13 no one knew if I was even going to make it through I’m now about to graduate high school and want to become a picu nurse and work in the picu that took care of me I want to help kids who went through what I did and help the families

2 years ago i was hooked up to that many iv pumps or more after a double heart and liver transplant due to a congenital heart defect I was born with...I'm now 4.0 GPA college student entering my nursing career. interview by people magazine and had a pod cast on my full circle testimony. you can do anything!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
