pretty sure if you put it in gear and try crank it it will prime without winding over unless safety switch is disconnected

Next time lift pump shits itself u can just buy cheap 12v inline pump and fit between tank and filter, use wires that go to lift pump to power it, if u want to get carried away u can take old pump off and extend pipe to bottom of tank but still work if u can’t be assed.

To prime them pumps cross the power and signal wire on the alternator and that sends power down to the lift pump without cranking 👍

Next time you wonna prime the filter pull the fuel relay and bridge across the terminals. That way you don’t have to crank the engine too 👍

They are junk those pumps. We did 4 pumps in a 10 series same as this within the space of a year. Put a clicker pump on it instead never been called back.

Can always hit the tank with a hammer with key on seems to wake those primer lift pumps

Sold a fair few of these for the older 6 series when i was in parts at a dealer. bloody good diagnostic skills there mate, most would’ve got a new pump 👌🏼
