As someone in tech, the apple data described in the trial rules Patrick out. It was verified twice that the call to Patrick at cvs was returned by Lindsay’s Iphone. Yes patrick could have had her device and the apple watch to make that call. However, the phone blacked out at 5:38 pm and was never turned off. Meaning it was motionless and sitting flat. There is no way patrick could have had it or the motion sensors in the iphone would detect even the slightest movement and would be logged as such, but the police found it in the home. This data cannot be faked. Unless he convinced another person to help him off three babies, which I find VERY unrealistic, he is cleared with that data because with the rest of the timeline it would absolutely not be possible. Reddington is definitely used the internet theories and non-sequestered jury to create reasonable doubt with some of his questioning. But he definitely knows Patrick could not have done it.

I assumed he was just dropping some breadcrumbs in case someone on the jury was on the fence...like you said just throwing it out there in case it sticks. I just hope it doesn't result in a hung jury. But based on what I've seen..this man knows what he's doing.

Do you know— would it be illegal for a DA to prosecute the same case with two different defendants using two conflicting theories of the case? Like for example two different people are tried for the same murder, but in each case the state is arguing they acted alone, not that they conspired together? Could two different juries find two people guilty of the same crime with opposing facts?

He's setting up reasonable doubt for his closing argument - of which there is plenty. Aka the prosecution didn't do their job (obviously the defenses stance). Not a magic wand to put someone else on trial

This is really helpful. I’ve been so confused over the last couple of days - like why would Red just now throw in speculation about another possible culprit? It felt a little desperate, but as you say, it’s normal to try everything you can at the end to get reasonable doubt. This trial has been an emotional roller coaster.
