@snowqueenla: 25 years of Fast & Furious history, sitting in one room. The Petersen Automotive Museum’s A Fast & Furious Legacy: 25 Years of Automotive Icons brings together screen-used cars from across the franchise — and some of their stories are even better than what made it onto the screen. The original film was inspired by the real underground street-racing scene, with actual racers and their cars brought into production. Hollywood exaggerated that world with brighter colors, graphics and increasingly wild builds — and then something unexpected happened: people began recreating what they saw in the movie. Here you can see Brian O’Conner’s orange Toyota Supra from the first film, including a stunt car Paul Walker actually drove; his Skyline GT-R from 2 Fast 2 Furious; Letty’s Nissan 240SX; Suki’s pink Honda S2000; and cars from Tokyo Drift and the later films. One of my favorite details: Suki’s famous pink S2000 had already appeared in the original movie as Johnny Tran’s black S2000 before being completely transformed for 2 Fast 2 Furious. There are also original costumes — from Brian’s simple jeans, T-shirt and Converse to Dante Reyes’ unmistakable purple wardrobe. The franchise went looking for inspiration in the real Los Angeles street-racing world. Twenty-five years later, people see these cars and remember the movies. 📍 Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles A Fast & Furious Legacy: 25 Years of Automotive Icons #PetersenAutomotiveMuseum #FastAndFurious #PaulWalker #FastFurious #TokyoDrift
