Not a big fan of that stuff but its anti depressant properties are fascinating. It’s also kind of psychedelic, what a weird and interesting drug. I feel like we still are in the birth of understanding our brain receptors and so on…

before this I was always confused why ketamine acted as a painkiller at all since nmda doesn't really do that. I just assumed it must hit some other system as well. now it all makes sense

Ketamine works on a ton of different receptors including NMDA, dopamine and opioid receptors. It’s kind of a ‘dirty drug’

Then why can people use ketamine daily and have no withdrawal with abrupt stopping? If it does sit on a mu receptor, it must be significantly weak!
