@tyiannatrice: ADA seating should mean more than having a designated place for a wheelchair. At Soldier Field in Chicago, the ADA floor seating left me unable to see the concert once everyone in front of me stood up. Thankfully, a kind young woman noticed and made space for me to move toward the front so I could actually see. 🤍 I’m grateful she helped me, but she shouldn’t have had to. Wheelchair users deserve a clear line of sight too. Accessibility has to consider the actual experience of disabled guests, not just whether there’s technically a space for us. Soldier Field, please consider better ADA floor seating and sightlines for wheelchair users. ♿️ #tiktokgogrow #amputeelife #accessibilitymatters #accessibility #chrisbrownconcert
Don’t get me started on this. We have been to so many concerts where able-bodied people have occupied disabled seats. They have no shame. There needs to be a disabled tag that only allows disabled, wheelchair bound people to buy those seats!
