I didn’t realize how many little things could go wrong on your first trips until I’d already learned them the hard way. A few things I always do now: • free walking tour on day one → helps me get my bearings + find places I wouldn’t have otherwise
• share my location with someone back home → especially when I’m moving around a lot
• get an eSIM before I leave → mostly so I’m not landing somewhere with no signal trying to figure things out I used to just deal with roaming or buy SIMs at the airport every time… it adds up fast. switching to an eSIM has honestly just made things easier.
