I'm not a lawyer and don't pretend to be one.... But, I figured out by day 2 that they essentially "hog tied" both Reddington and Lindsay when they denied both motions for bifurcated trial. And all I did was google the laws here in Mass. You were one of the first lawyers I found that actually said they still had a burden to prove she even did it. Thank you for your content!!

I feel like this case has uncovered an obscene amount of incompetence in lawyers, medical professionals and mental health professionals.

For the judge to deny Lindsay's request for a bifurcated trial and ALSO deny the Bowden motion seems like the most egregious case of judicial error. You have to give the defense an opportunity to argue in the alternative and challenge the government's investigation. Seems like a US Constitutional due process violation the judge committed by denying both.

Lawyers calling people “idiots” and “tin foil hats” just for asking questions was so horrible and condescending.

i can’t even count how many lawyers i’ve seen on this app say that it would be INSANE for reddington to even bring up the possibility that she might be straight up not guilty and highlight the lack of evidence & investigation that very much support the fact that the prosecution failed to prove she did this beyond a reasonable doubt. sure enough, today reddington did exactly this and i expect he’ll hammer this point in tomorrow’s closing arguments. this is why critical thinking skills are important beyond relying on “experts” opinions. (also the experts on the prosecution side were great examples that a stacked resume doesn’t prove you’re smart or competent)

I've been laughing every time lawyers, law students, paralegals, etc kept saying the state didn't have to prove to the jury she did the crime at all......uhhh all I can say is I'd blacklist each of them so we know not to hire any of them👌

OK BUT HEAR ME OUT. Everyone has forgotten this is a murder trial. Even the prosecution. They spent all their time trying to prove Lindsay was sane and forgot the forest for the trees.

The judge LITERALLY said it himself that she has to be proven guilty of the murders not just criminal responsibility or not and everyone is arguing against it still

Some people were so LOUDLY wrong and so rude about it too. The people that were wrong were the ones calling people “illiterate” “stupid” “uneducated” etc.

But also, my question is, doesn’t everyone deserve the right to a fair trial? I don’t know how this was a fair trial given ALL of the inconsistencies and terrible investigation

I am a barber in Florida and I KNEW that the prosecution had to prove their case. Maybe I should go to law school (kidding I'm not smart enough).

Some of us aren't even lawyers and understand this. And the mob mentality of some of these people? Try explaining a defamation lawsuit to them....

I'm no lawyer but I'm certainly not dumb, When the judge gave the charge at the beginning. Day 1! He said the commonwealth had the burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and that if they could not the jury MUST find Lindsay not guilty. The amount of people arguing otherwise on this app when it came straight from the judges mouth is wild to me.

I’m not even a lawyer and I knew that if the state didn’t prove the elements of First Degree the question of her mental status is irrelevant because they don’t have evidence that she is guilty of the crime they charged her with.
