Kids used to bring Pokémon cards to school all the time, trade them during breaks. If u didn’t want him to bring them, there’s a much healthier way to discipline him rather than to humiliate him and destroy something he’s genuinely interested in. It’s already hard enough for black nerds and sometimes it’s an escape from something in reality and immersing themselves in comics or anime or trading card culture might just be that… what if he had trouble fitting in and brought them to male friends with similar interests. Don’t let these institutions dim your child’s shine…

I would not respect my parents after they did this to me because all they is cards and all need to do is have a nice talk a say you can’t play during class but during lunch you can and it’s really that simple. But now You just made a connection with your child 10 times harder.
